Ok, here goes nuthin'

I'm going to use this space to organize my thoughts in preperation for my CCIE wireless lab date.  I'll be documenting my weak spots in an effort to strengthen my knowledge on those topics.  I don't know if someone else will find this information useful, I can only hope.

I've been working with wireless technology since 2003, and during that time I've done field upgrades of radio cards in preparation for lwapp conversions, used a WLSE to schedule IOS upgrades, used WCS to perform simulated site surveys, the list goes on and on.  It is all in my Linkedin profile if you're interested.. just ask!

  2. Well, I wouldn't really call this a blog - it is just a collection of notes that seemed to be information I'd not seen before - or information that was more important than the rest of the document. I've not tried to arrange any of this information into any kind of narrative. I wouldn't even know where to start. Cisco does a much better job in their documents than I could ever hope to do - and Jerome Henry has already done all the hard work of documentation & videos!!

  3. Did this lab in the summer (bombed it). Do not take this lab lightly (your blog is a great idea). If you're not a switch person, I would brush up on that area as there is some switch config at the beginning. I'm doing round two next week.

  4. Thanks for the tip - I've heard the lab was very hard, but not impossible. I have a background in routing/switching - so that's not the piece I'm worried about. I'm going to have to get used to finding the supporting documentation through an unfamiliar UI: http://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/psa/default.html?mode=prod

I'm used to just searching on cisco.com.

Best wishes on your round two next week - let me know how it turns out for you!

  5. Nice blog. It's a very good way to study for the lab. (I'm also doing almost the same. see cciew.wordpress.com)

    Enjoy the ride...

    Sjostke.
