As with any event where Dan Cybulskie is present, the official mascot is the polar bear!
Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI'd like to hear if Aruba can allow Bonjour services bi-directionally across subnets for Apple AirPlay, AirPrint and iTunes sharing. If so, can they do it in a simple to configure manner, which is the point of Zeroconf (Bonjour) networking, without complicated multicast configuration? Also, can they provide service advertisement filtering and access controls?
Thanks,
Andrew
Alright let me take a crack at this :)
ReplyDeleteBi-directional across subnets correct.
There is no configuration on the Aruba Mobility Controllers - just turn on the mDNS proxy. Intelligence comes from the ClearPass when it gives us personal, shared, local info based on service registrations.
Yes on service ad filtering (demoed it today) and access control with PEF.
